The vehicle was clean, had a full tank and I had no problems with it during the ten days I spent in Indiana. It was not a very good "first impression". Seems like there should have been someone to help new customers, like myself. listing the full names customers with reservations (my name was on it). There was a list taped to the Budget Office Window in the parking garage. There was another customer, searching for his car through Budget, he said he was on his way back inside the airport. I really needed someone to help me find my rental when I arrived to the garage from the sign in desk within the airport. The invoice handed to me was confusing and unclear. I had to locate my own car, and at first I got into the wrong vehicle.
The lack of customer assistance was surprising.
I was handed my paperwork by an Avis employee and directed to the parking garage. Short on staff (3 employees) for the long line (9 people in front of me). The Budget counter was closed and we were referred to the Avis counter. My arrival time was 4pm on a Thursday to Indianapolis International Airport.
